Internationally acclaimed DJ Charissa Saverio (DJ Rap) started Propa Talent Records whilst signed to Sony/Columbia. Sfter a few years she decided she wanted a website that she could control rather than the static work originally provided by Sony.

Base-8 was commissioned to develop a platform for her to voice her opinions, showcase her work and communicate with fans. Her site was designed to an exacting specification and the content is still maintained by DJ Rap personally.

The site was redesigned in 2007 and was split into 2 sections in 2008, with djrap.com charting the clients personal career whilst propatalent.com is now dedicated to developing her roster of new artistes. The new system gives DJ Rap the ability to upload and modify tour dates, news, MP3s, videos and other content.

Over 3 million hits later (5 years), it's still a very popular site with over a thousand unique visitors a day.

An unfortunate experience with local designers left North Carolina MudDuds with an insecure, partially working eCommerce system. The client commissioned Base-8 to create a replacement system with many new features that offers customers a simple, powerful and secure ordering system.

Nanotechnology expert Professor Hugh Clare contacted Base-8 after seeing work we did for some of his colleagues. As his first experience in website development, we helped him through all the choices and requirements in order to develop solid online representation for his flourishing new business.

We completed the project quickly with a full Content Management System that gives him full control over the website content. We wish him every success in his new venture.

After being quoted ridiculous figures by local internet designers, the Harpenden based Glen Eagle Manor selected Base-8 to oversee the establishment of an online presence and integration with the hotel's booking system.

The site was finished swiftly and to the high standards the hotel expects.

Global Services Ltd. returned to Base-8 for a site focusing on their range of products for biting insect control.

Some friends of our started this marine research consultancy, based just down the road from us in Penryn, Cornwall, UK. They naturally wanted a professional looking site, yet themed closely to the nature of their work. After hours of research on Google, we couldn't find anything that even remotely passed as inspiration - even large speedboat manufacturers had ugly and difficult to navigate sites (take a look). With this in mind we came up with a clean, fresh approach to maritime related web design.

The entire project was completed within 4 days and the clients are most pleased with the results.

Drum'n'bass legend Klute decided to start his own record label in 2002 and asked us to enlarge upon his original artist site that we had previously developed.

The result is a fast loading, yet stylish site with a good balance of content and aesthetics. We've recently implimented a Paypal shopping cart for the site and they've started to sell their product worldwide for very low startup costs.
